Capital of Lebanon since the independence. With 3000 years age, it has faced a long war of 25 years and overcome the destructions.

Many are the museums in the capital; the most impressive among them is the Beirut National Museum . Sursock Museum is an ancient palace of Ashrafieh area, transformed into a museum of arts. This museum is known for his impressive oriental saloon.

Two other archaeological museums are the one of the American University of Beirut (AUB), and second one is the prehistorically museum of St Joseph university.

Don't miss to visit the down town of Beirut , to feel the breeze of Eternity, to understand what life overcome death mean. There you can visit all the archaeological ruins, such as the roman bath next to the ancient serial, the Roman road next to St George cathedral and most of the entire ancient Berytus city 3000 years old, next to Al-Nahar's building. A good meal is always recommended next to the parliament square.

At the sunset, a long walk on the Cornish is always the Lebanese typical walk; on the sea shore at the region of Rawsheh the Pigeons Rock became the symbol of Beirut, there most of the citizens of Beirut meet there to spend some time. At the end of the Cornish, a sand beach is one of the best beaches in Lebanon , known as Ramlet el Bayda which means the White Sand.
